God’s Grace is His Wisdom

God’s grace is the wisdom of God. Ever since Adam and Eve ate of the tree of the knowledge of Good and Evil, mankind began to relate to God by that knowledge. Many Christians still base their relationship to God on whether they do good or evil, whether they keep laws, rules and regulations. That is still eating from the wrong tree.
Remember how much joy you had when you were first born again? That lasted a few months until someone told you what you had to do to be right with God. But, you were already right with God. Paul said that our teaching should be comprised of this one thing: comparing spiritual things with spiritual. Instead, we compare natural things with spiritual things.
This is a truth: when you are working at your job, if you perform well, you will promoted. But, you then think that is how God works. If you do well, you will be promoted. We then become trapped in our own wisdom. It is not what we do, but what Jesus has done for us! He has given us righteousness as a free gift.
Why was the Law given?
The Law was given to put everyone on the same plane: For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. No one was ever declared righteous by keeping the Law. Now, 2000 years after Jesus nailed the Law to the cross, we are still trapped in trying to relate to God through the knowledge of good and evil or laws, rules and regulations. We try to convince ourselves that if we do good enough, God will be on our side; and if we do wrong, He will turn against us.
Jesus did a finished work on the cross!
Jesus endured the cross for the joy that was set before Him. What was that joy? He knew He was totally destroying and annihilating the system of mankind trying to relate to God based on good and evil, laws, rules and regulations. He was made sin, who knew no sin, that we might be made the righteousness of God. He knew He was making you righteous and holy!
If Jesus is righteous and holy and is the Head of the Church, do you think the Head would sit on top of any unrighteous body? The Gospel is so powerful that a man is right with God through faith - and Jesus has done it all! Jesus said, Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness. The moment you were born again you were translated out of the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of His dear Son. What put you into the kingdom? Your good deeds, prayer life, your giving? No! The blood of Jesus did it all!
Hallelujah!
